You can automatically create product data and upload the relevant product images on Shopify.
Here's how it works:
- The vendor integrates with Vuuh to end us the order data.
- Once the order comes in and you will receive it in your Shopify store automatically.
- That's it.

Frequent questions
What does "automatically" mean?
We can set up various automations in order to make the whole flow seamless. We can hook up at different moments in the lifecycle of an order, such as
- receiving the price catalogue from the brand (often means the order has just been placed)
- receiving the order response from the brand (often means the order has been confirmed by the brand)
- receiving the delivery note (dispatch advise) from the brand (often means the actual parcel with the physical products have been delivered) - most clients prefer this approach.
What data can Vuuh create?
We can deliver base product fields, metafields (default and custom), variant base fields, option names for colors and sizes.
In addition, we can also upload the images for the product, and attach the main image for the variant.
How does Vuuh handle data updates?
We explicitly avoid overwriting existing data, because shop owners often add more data on their products over time, and they might also have plugins that manage data on the products themselves. To reduce the risk of losing data, if we detect that some field already has data in it, we avoid changing it.
How does Vuuh handle images?
We mostly look at the colors, as we store and manage the images for each color.
- if the color is new on your store, we also upload the images for that color.
- if the color isn't new on your store, but the size is, we don't upload the colors, but instead we reuse the featured variant image from the the other sizes of the same color
- if neither the color or the size aren't new on your store, then we don't touch the images.
If you will manually detach the featured images from a color but you don't remove the color images from the product, we will re-upload them. We are using the variant featured images as an indicator of how the image status is on that product, due to Shopify not offering a native way to add more information on the products. This is an issue we are aware of and we're actively investigating possible solutions for.
How does Vuuh handle variants?
We expose a way to map your desired product options to be used as the Color and the Size. We support custom names, and we will usually map them to the color name and the combined size (main size + secondary size if available).
By default we will use the values we receive from the brands, but on request we can customize them to better fit your needs.
Once the integration is initialized with the Color and Size option names, we will create the options and variants using them as the option fields, and will manage the variants based on them.
Not all option combinations will be created as variants. Only the combinations that we see in the order data we receive from your vendors will be created/updated. The Option values from the example are the aggregated Colors and Sizes from all variants, but the individual variants are managed individually.
Can you create a product per color instead of creating all colors as variants?
Yes we can! We have this option for the integration, so you can receive a single product per color! So if a style with four distinct colors will get exported to your shop, you can choose to either receive a single product with the four color option names and the corresponding variants, or four distinct products, each one representing a color.
How can I prevent the products that Vuuh creates to go Live, so I can check them before?
When we create products, we create then in DRAFT mode, so you have a chance to check it and validate it before it goes live. We never change the status of the products that already exist on your store.
However, due to how the product statuses work, if we need to create a new color or size on a product that is live, the new color/size will automatically also become live.
